Kay (a user of QuickEditor) informed me that QuickEditor is not working properly on a Windows 8 computer. I just installed Windows 8 on a test machine and checked the compatibility on my own. In general QuickEditor is running but it may happen that the QuickEditor window itself does not open completely or is invisible. Pretty strange thing! The good news is, I already fixed that issue in an internal beta version. In the meantime I extended my beta tests together with Kay. If there are other persons out there interested to test the beta version please drop me a email and I'll send you the latest development snapshot.

Please stay tuned! QuickEditor is working on Windows 8 but not fully compatible yet. The next days I will keep working on finalizing a new fully compatible version of QuickEditor.

Sorry again for waiting that long until a new version of QuickEditor will be released. I just want you to know that QuickEditor is not dead and it's still under development. The last days I tried to improve QuickEditor according to your suggestions (like encrypted tabs, changing background color and better screen detection, german translation).
Currently QuickEditor is running in an internal beta test and if everything goes into right direction I will release it soon.

So please standby and please keep using and recommending QuickEditor to your friends and colleagues.

And... as always, please feel free to get in contact with me to suggest or report bugs.

One year since last QuickEditor update but QuickEditor project is still alive. This release is powered by the community because a lot of features including in this release were requested by the users of QuickEditor. Please have a look at the Changelog to check if your feature request is also in there. If not please tell me your wishes using Contact page.

You can update QuickEditor using the integrated update engine (just start QuickEditor and press "QuickEditor Update available" link in the top of the programs main window) or download the installer/binary file in Downloads section.
